If you show up to the field with this scale bat wing that can actually fly around. It will leave people speechless. I’ve been working on this design on and off for the last 15 years. While it may be a small step back from my twin 40 mm version. It’s a huge leap forward being very scale and having so many cool design features. This bat wing is by far the easiest to hand launch. It’s still porpoises like my other bat wings maybe slightly more than the twin 40 mm. The flight characteristics are good. Due to the extremely low wing loading, it will float in for landings like you can’t believe.
Wow, you can attempt to fly it without a flight controller or a Gyro. I highly recommend using the exact Setup that I use. You will need proper battery capacity and weight to achieve the correct CG. You will need to run the proper amount of up trim or reflex on the elevons. (36mm). To make it fly correctly. I highly recommend using spectrum‘s AR 630+ or better receiver and just fly it in safe mode.
I will be including a twin 64 mm version along with a twin 64 mm version with retracts. I am waiting for better weather where I can attempt to takeoff using the landing gear. Once those tests are complete, I will upload the file free of charge.

Parts Needed
(twin 50)-Any 50mm fan 4s
-Any 40 amp ESC’s 2x
-2x 9g servos
-1.2mm pushrods
-Twin or single 4s lipos equaling a minimum of 672g to achieve proper balance.
-1/4oz lead weights (7cm) to help you balance if you don’t have enough nose weight. They will glue into the forward fuselage in the slots provided in the print.
-4mm x 165mm OD carbon tube for elevons.
- servo wire extensions for servos
Pre-flight information.
-hot glue the hand launcher so the front of the hand launcher is lined up with the CG bumps.
- use at least 30-36mm of trim up or reflex on both elevons
- use 1/4oz lead weights to balance in the nose slots if needed.
