Possibly the best beginner EDF platform for both the 50mm and 90mm. They are extremely easy to fly in general. The 50mm hand launches like a dream and the 90mm with printable landing gear takes off like a STOL jet.
I’d like to thank Paul Bingham for reminding me about this classic airframe that has been used by a few manufacturers a while back to make fiberglass turbine jets. They were more simple two servo jets that flew great.
The 90mm is super light weight at 5.3lbs ready to fly with 9lbs of thrust! It also has fully printable gear with nose wheel steering. Cost is basically nothing.

Both sizes need some elevator up trim. The original models also needed some trim up.
50mm 2mm up
90mm 4mm up.
Cg is interesting, I placed the bumps on a slightly nose heavy configuration, feel free to shift the balance back if your Hot Shot doesn’t float in for landings.
