grumman_x-29_50mm_aircraft_image_1
This project has spanned over two years. The design changed dramatically over five times since. I’ve tried different airfoils, canard integration with the main wing, servo placement, fan placement, incidence and more. I’m finally happy with the flight characteristics. The X-29 does not require a gyro and flies stable and is a blast! I landed on the final 50mm scale for a number of reasons, it feels light and floaty and doesn’t require a wing spar.
