I kept seeing the printed seagull on YouTube and I wanted to do my own take on a bird EDF. I’ve always liked crows so I knew that would be the bird to go after. It took 3 full redesigns to get it right. I’ve used some really cool techniques that I have not seen used before to make the crow user friendly. I also wanted the crow to be beginner friendly. Easy to hand launch and not require a gyro to fly. The Crow feels like a motorized glider. Very efficient and fun. The best part by far is the silhouette against the sky.
The Crow has a 62” wingspan.
Target flying weight is 1400g

Parts Needed
-I recommend the Xfly 50mm fan (4s). The installation is press fit with hot glue so I can’t say for sure if any other fans will work.
-Any 40 amp ESC
-2 9g servos
-recommended battery 2200 4s, anything smaller won’t balance
- tire weights between 4 and 8 depending on your build weight. https://a.co/d/09HtkWf7
-4mm carbon tube for the elevon hinge (4x 3” pieces)
-2x 8mm OD carbon tube/ wing spars 11.5” long
-1.2mm pushrod
-Velcro for the battery and ESC / rx
- hot glue for the fan installation and servos
