🛩️ EDF Motor Size Calculator
Regardless of how you scale, always print the EDF section first to double check the fit as different manufacturers EDFs, are slightly different sizes.
Calculate the percentage difference between EDF motor sizes to determine how much to scale your 3D printed RC airplane models when 3D printing.
📋 How to Use:
- From Size: Enter the original EDF motor size (e.g., 50mm)
- To Size: Enter the target EDF motor size (e.g., 64mm)
- Calculate: Get the scaling percentage needed
- Print: Scale your 3D model by this percentage
💡 Example:
50mm → 64mm = 128%
This means scale your 3D model to 128% of its original size to accommodate a 64mm EDF instead of a 50mm EDF.
🔧 Common EDF Motor Sizes:
Popular sizes: 30mm, 40mm, 50mm, 55mm, 64mm, 70mm, 80mm, 90mm, 105mm, 120mm
Choose the closest size to your available EDF motor and calculate the scaling needed.
