F-35 in 80 and 64mm

I'd say, five or six times I've become obsessed with a design where I need to fly it every chance I get. This is one of them. The biggest problem with the F35 is the high wing loading. They never fly really well in RC form. I have a 50mm version I made over a year ago that floats and flies extremely well as an RC jet.

Update! 2.1.2026. I’ve done a nice refresh on this amazing design. I’ve decided to go twin 50mm since the hardware and ESC’s are more durable than the twin 40. I’ve added more details, added a hand launcher, updated the canopy to a tongue and groove and latch.

Wow guys, I never thought this style airframe would translate well to RC but I was pleasantly surprised it really did. I would place this airframe in the beginner to intermediate category for its flying characteristics. Throwing it isn't hard because its large. So not a beginner plane to hand launch.

back around the 2008-2010 range there was a beautiful mirage 4000 EDF foamy that was white/red and blue like my rendering. It was one of the sweetest planes to fly. I've always wanted to re create it. I have to say, mine flies very similar to what I remember. Its very easy to fly and basically wont stall. You can do some pretty cool slow flying.

I've been contemplating this design for almost two years. I've been prepping for it and I decided to pull the trigger. This particular design has been my most satisfying by far. Its by far the most fun to build, and extremely fun to fly.
I've had some bad experiences with the F14 from Eflite. It flew heavy and always broke the wings when it landed.

The long awaited sport jet is here. Its an amalgamation of a bunch of different sport jets combined into one. Its a great size for speed and agility.

Another surprising model like the Mig 17, the odd shaped wings and unique control surfaces was really an unknown entity. the maiden flight in heavy winds quicky showed me how great this little plane is. Its an easy, print, build and flyer. Its got really good thrust for having a nose intake with a shock cone obstructing the airflow. Everyone at the field really loved it.

well... this ones special. Super special. It flies amazing as you can see from my videos. I'm offering this jet as a double pack. 50mm and 64mm. I would challenge any 3d printed jet designer to compete against this little fatty.
Pros:
1. looks funny and cute
2. flies unbelievably slow (cartoon planes never do)
3. tons of control, you can perform almost every stunt
4.lands light
5.
Bell X-1 50mm

This design has been attempted 3 times. The first two were "ok" but not to my liking. I've been struggling to come up with an intake solution that would do the Bell X1 justice. The Bell X-1 was a test aircraft to break the sound barrier. I needed to the design to live up to the expectations people would have for it. Its fast!
Psy-cho 90mm 150+MPH Jet

The Psy-cho Jet weighs 5.5lbs and has 12+ lbs of thrust! Its quick and easy to print. Super simple to assemble and flies really easy until you press the throttle forward. This is a VERY high performance jet designed to carve up the sky like nothing you've flown.
This is not a toy. You should have some fast EDF jet experience before you fly this.
